Velvet style boots can make any outfit look chic. They are the perfect essential to any wardrobe as they will dress up any outfit that you have. The only problem is the rain! I wouldn't suggest wearing them in the rain as they may ruin which is the only downfall of velvet, it is not very durable.
There is lots of simple ways to wear the velvet trend yourself, even by having a simple velvet t-shirt that can be worn with pretty much anything, skirts, jeans etc. I think the simple way of wearing velvet works well as the fabric can be bold so wearing the bold fabric with another eye catching piece may take the attention away from the velvet and it may also make your outfit overpowering.
I think that the lace with the velvet on the cami is a nice touch. Velvet tends to have feminine connotations with it which matches well with the lace as lace is also associated with femininity. The mom jeans give edge to the outfit.
The trend can also be adopted in a bold way as seen by Gigi Hadid (at Paris fashion week) who adopted the trend by wearing a velvet mustard jacket. She teamed it with a pair of baggy low slung boyfriend jeans and a knotted white tee. She looked incredibly stylish but yet still effortless.
